Obituary for Roger Wesley Carlson

Roger, W. Carlson, 90, of White Bear Lake (Former Vadnais Heights Walmart Greeter) died peacefully after a lengthy battle with dementia on February 18, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Home in Stillwater. Roger was born on October 6, 1924 in St. Paul Minnesota. He bravely served in the United States Army, stationed at Leyte in the Philippines during World War II. Roger is survived by his loving wife Alice of 56 years; children, Amy (Richard Doherty); Lori (Jeffrey Summers); Peter (Katherine); James (Casandra); 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild with one on the way. Roger is also survived by sister Judy Crotteau, and is preceded in death by parents Herbert and Florence Carlson, sisters Lois, Harriet, Joan and Janet. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24th at Amazing Grace Assembly of God 1237 Earl St., St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
