Obituary for Frances Catherine Vadnais (McHugh)

Vadnais, Frances C., age 88 of White Bear Lake, MN died Tuesday, June 19 in LaCrosse, WI. She was born June 21, 1912 in Aberdeen, SD. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Winifred McHugh. She married George A. Vandnais in 1934 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1994. Frances celebrated each day given to her, sharing her loving spirit with everyone she met. She nurtured her family with unending generosity and priceless life lessons. It is because of Frances that her family has learned to give, love and dream. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Al, Thomas and Edward; and 1 sister, Dolores; infant son, George Michael; infant great-grandson, Connor Michael Alberts. Frances is survived by her sister, Mary (Jerr) Hauer, Roseville, MN; 2 sons, Jerry (Arlene) Vadnais, Woodville, WI, and Terry (Pam) Vadnais, WBL; 2 daughters, Susan (James) Crothers, LaCrosse, WI and Karen (Allan) Hansen, Stoddard, Wi; grandchildren, Mark (Val) Vadnais, Spring Valley, Linda Bauer (Roger Klinger), Baldwin, WI, Tom (Mary) Vadnais, Spring Valley, Jenny (Rick) Hagen, Spring Valley, Kelly (Eric) Johnson, Spring Valley, Vikki (Kipp) Peckman, Baisam Lake, WI, Scott (Christina) Vadnias, WBL, Angie (Al) Steiner, WBL, Melissa (Brian Wilson) Vadnais, Spring Lake Park, Dawn (Mike) Alberts, Eagan, Patrick Crothers, Milwaukee, WI, Molly Crothers, Omaha, NE, Eric (Megan) Hansen, Burnsville, Brian Hansen (Sarah Maschka), St. Louis Park, Kevin Hansen, Mpls.; great-grandchildren, Marisa Bryan, Stephanie, Shane, and Sara; Logan and Jasmine Bauer and Savanna Klinger; Hanna Hagen; MaKenna, Mitchell and Mason Johnson; Katie, Karly, Clay and Cole Peckman; Thomas, Nicholas and Shelby Vadnais; Emma and George Steiner; Daulton Wilson; Jack and Olivia Alberts; Jack Hansen; and many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 AM at ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CHURCH, 4th Street and Bald Eagle Avenue, WBL. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM AT CHURCH. Memorials preferred to Carmelites, March of Dimes, Girls and Boys Town, or Birthright of LaCrosse.
