Stella (nee Vincent) Manship
Age 99
Of White Bear Lake
With her family by her side, loving her all the way to heaven, Stella Manship passed away the afternoon of June 7th, at 99 years of age. She is reunited now with the love of her life, William (Bill) Manship. Welcoming her to heaven were “Ma and Pa”; all of her brothers, sisters and their spouses; her dear daughters-in-law Betty and Linda; 2 Grandsons, David and Kevin; and many, many, friends.
Sending love to her on angel wings are all those she left behind. Florence (Brad) Bonse, John (Sandy) Manship, Robert (Barbara) Manship, Nancy (Brian) Bettendorf, Marian (Tom) Welter, Doris (Rich) Brousseau, Mike (Sharon) Manship, Donald Manship, James (Bev) Manship, Julianne Schwietz, 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Stella lived all of her life in White Bear Lake, most of it with her soul mate in the house he built on the corner of Hugo Road and Buffalo, where she raised 9 children, baked about a bazillion chocolate chip cookies, became famous in the neighborhood for her raised donuts. Almost 50 years ago, her daughter-in-law, Sandy, gave her a pattern for Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. We wish we would have counted how many dolls she made. Each one was made knowing there would be a little girl or boy who would love it. We know they are loved locally and worldwide.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Memory Care in North Oaks, where Mom was loved by everyone for the past year. Their gentle care and compassion has been so appreciated. We thank them for everything they have done for her and our family.
Stella was a lifelong member of St Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in White Bear Lake, from baptism, marriage, and now her final goodbye.
