Of White Bear Lake
Died peacefully surrounded by family on December 16, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold, her parents Henry and Anna, and siblings Virginia, Charles, James, Dennis, and Judy. Lucille grew up on the family farm in Rockville, MN and was one of 11 siblings. She graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School in 1948. She married Arnold Mueller on June 9, 1953 and they raised their 6 children in White Bear Lake. Once her children were in school, Lucille worked for Sears until she retired. She was an active member of St. Pius X Church, volunteering for funeral lunches and the decorating committee. She also volunteered at the White Bear Lake food shelf. Lucille was an amazing artisan. She sewed, quilted, crocheted, made decorations for the home, and Christmas ornaments each year for her grandchildren. She was a member of MN Quilters group and was a MN State Fair ribbon winner. She loved playing cards, baking, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children Joan (John) Ries , Roger (Colleen), Mark (Brenda), Sue Korth (Dan Biere), Paul (Rachel) and Amy (Tim) Mackey; grandchildren Erin (Jason) Brennan, Kristin, Steven and Ellyn Ries, Christopher, Eric and Kevin Mueller, Emily, Jacob and Kelsey Mueller, Chelsea, Kaylyn and Ellie Korth, Madeline and William Mueller, Danny and Mary Mackey; great grandchildren Jameson and Caiden Brennan; siblings Florence Schroeden, Ruth Mueller, Jeanie Mueller, Mary Lou (Don) Schmitz, Hubert (Dorothy) Albers, Irene Zeppelin, and Joyce (Wayne) Gretsch, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all. A special thank you to White Pines Senior Living of Mendota Heights, and Health Partners Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:30 am at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH 3878 Highland Ave, White Bear Lake. Visitation 5-7 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at HONSA FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 2460 East County Road E, White Bear Lake, and one hour prior to mass at church. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
