Obituary for Richard Andrew Vadnais

Vadnais, Richard (Dick) A. Age 86 Of White Bear Lake Preceded in death by beloved wife, Martha. Survived by children Joe (Cheryl) Vadnais, Mary Ryan, Ann Vadnais (Salam Elazab), and Peggy Vadnais; grandchildren Megan, Josh (Katie), and Molly Vadnais; Amanda and Adam Elazab; Aaron and Ashley Phelps. Bro-ther of Florence Smith, Jack (Bev) Vadnais, Margueritte (Bob) Parker; and Anna Mae (Bob) Campbell. Brother-in-law of Berta Vadnais. Preceded in death by parents Adlore and Ellen (Peltier) Vadnais; brothers George, Charles, Gordy, Lawrence and Henry; sisters Mona Green and Leona Whitrock. Visitation Tuesday, June 20th 4-8PM at HONSA FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2460 East County Road E, WBL and one hour before Mass AT CHURCH. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m. at ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CHURCH, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, WBL. Private family interment. Dick was a life long resident of White Bear Lake. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1940 and served in San Francisco where he married his one and only sweetheart, Martha. He was co-owner of the White Bear Oil Company with his father and brothers from 1928-1992. He enjoyed many memorable Canadian fishing trips with friends and family and weekly Sunday breakfasts with his brothers and sisters. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor and devotion to his family. Dick will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Memorials preferred to St. Mary's Church.
