Hero and Loving husband of 69 years to dear Roslyn (Roz), wonderful father of eight, and proud grandfather of 14 and many great grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by many friends and relatives. Preceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister and son in law Tom Pomplun (Sandee) and many others. Loving Father of Children: Linda Baierl, Tom (Kathy), Donna (Steve) Pomplun, Sandee, (Tom) Pomplun, Randy, Wayne, Marie (Rich) Bernatz, Robin (Marty) Rosauer. Respectfully missed by grandchildren: Donn (Sue-Samantha, Danielle), Denny (Tanya), Bethany (Matt-Walker), Kelly (Ryan-Riley, Jackson), Becky (Kiley, McKenley, Delaina), Kristin (Josh-Brianna, Alyssa, Jacen), Jacob (Erin-Ava), Mathias (Jenny-Marli), Nichole, (Jeff-Giana - Gemma), Brandon, Michael (Cassie), Dustin, Hannah, Mariel; and his sister, Caroline Severin. He proudly served as a WWII Veteran, in The Battle of the Bulge, Life Member of American Legion-Post 168 & VFW. He continued to serve his community as a Community Affairs Officer with Ramsey Co. Sheriff's Department until he was 95 years young. He will also be remembered for his 30 years of being Uncle Turtle the clown with the White Bear Lake American Legion Clown Club, post 168! Memorial Mass Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:30 AM at ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CHURCH, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, with a visitation 1 hour prior to Mass.
