Peacefully passed away Oct. 6 2016.
Preceded in death by wife, Shirley; parents, Henry and Helen; and siblings, Roman, Andrew and Sophie. Cas is survived by children, Helen Kessler (Tim), Roberta Wirth-Feeney (Terry), Catherine Carey (Brendan); grandchildren, Michelle Wirth (Aaron), Sally Kessler (Erick) and great-grandson, Hephaestion, Amy Kessler, Elizabeth Feeney (Justin) and soon to be born great-granddaughter, Tom Wirth. He is also survived by sister, Stephanie and nieces and nephews. Cas was the son of Ukrainian-Polish immigrants, grew up in St. Paul and attended St. Adalbert School, Mechanic Arts High School and Globe Business College. He served stateside as Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a devout Catholic and a proud Democrat. His 55+ year career was in the household goods moving business, serving as president of Ballard Moving Co. and general manager of Metcalf-Mayflower Moving Co. Cas lived life to the fullest. He was a great storyteller who loved bowling, fishing, sports, gambling, history, painting, bird-watching and classical concerts. But more than anything else, he loved his family and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and fellow parishioners.
