Preceded in death by husband Elmer O. (Al); parents, Otto and Esther Carlson; sister, June Sorensen.
Survived by children, Dwight (Diane), Janet (Mike McVeigh), Paul (Susan), Steven (Elizabeth); 9 grandchildren, Daniel, David, Darren, Zachary, Aaron, Carly, Ethan, Sarah, Lindy; 2 great-granddaughters, Olivia and Jovie; sister, Betty Swenson of Sunlakes, AZ; many nieces, nephews & friends. Bonnie was raised on the East side of St. Paul, and graduated from Johnson High School. She attended Cable Business College for Women, and worked as a secretary at 3M Co. for 11 years, where she met her husband. Bonnie spent the rest of her life as a homemaker and busy mom and grandma. Bonnie was a former member of Arlington Hills Lutheran Church and was a current member of First Lutheran Church, White Bear Lake. She shared in and created many memories, and maintained her great memory and sharp mind until she went peacefully to her heavenly home to be with family, friends and great-grandsons, Owen and Oliver. Funeral Service Friday, Oct. 14, at 11:00 AM at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4000 Linden Street, WBL. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Maplewood. Visitation Thursday, Oct. 13, from 4-7 PM at HONSA FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2460 East County Road E, WBL, and one hour before service at church.
