Donna J. Baumann

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota in the summer of 1928, Donna lived a life of devotion to her faith, family and friends until she passed away on November 14th at the age of 95.

rowing up on the east side of St. Paul, she attended and graduated from Johnson High School where she excelled; earning a full scholarship to the College of St Catherine’s. However, her college career was interrupted in 1948 when she met and married Richard (Dick) Baumann with whom she would spend the next 58 years of her life.

In 1953 they moved to White Bear Lake, where they stayed until Dick passed away in 2006. During those early years, they became two of the founding members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Throughout her life, Donna was generous with her time and talents, volunteering for a wide range of church, school and community activities.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Stahl, her husband Dick, son John, brother Harlan, and grandson Nick. She is survived by:  her sons Bill, Tom (Kathy), Mark, and daughter Pamela (Bill) Greene; grandchildren Reid Baumann, Kelsey Baumann (Max Fritz) and Tony Greene; and great-grandchildren, Myles and Nash Fritz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, December 4th at St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 3878 Highland Avenue in White Bear Lake with visitation one hour before. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. 

Memorials preferred to St. Pius X or the Alzheimer’s Association.
