Lenore Ellen Wahl
age 90
of White Bear Lake, MN
Passed away on January 27, 2019. She was born May 23, 1928 in Amery, Wisconsin to Henry and Edith Swanson and attended schools in Amery. In 1947, Lenore married Leonard Wahl in Chisago City, MN and together they had 4 children: Don (Kris) Wahl of Jacksonville, FL; Richard (Deborah) Wahl of Scottsdale, AZ; Kevin (Kathy) Wahl of Alexandria, MN; and Christine (Duane) Berg of Hugo, MN; with 10 grandchildren and
8 great-grandchildren. Lenore spent 60 years in White Bear Lake, working as a homemaker and office assistant at White Bear Lake High School, and she was also a member of various sewing and knitting clubs. Lenore was a good friend to many and loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. She was an active member of the Rockpoint Church in Lake Elmo, where she was an active participant in her Bible Study groups and other church activities. She also enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends.
Lenore was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, who passed away in November 1999, as well as granddaughters Elizabeth and Leslie, her parents Henry and Edith Swanson and her sister Arlene Fransen.
An upcoming Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Rockpoint Church, 5825 Kelvin Avenue North, Lake Elmo, MN, at 11:00 am, with visitation before the service, starting at 10:00 am. A fellowship luncheon will be served immediately after the service. Internment will be held later this spring in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Lenore, to the American Cancer Society, and The Pillars Hospice House in Oakdale, MN.
