Roxanne D. (Smith) Wilcox
Age 80 of White Bear Lake, MN
Passed away in the loving arms of her husband of 63 years, Brian. Preceded in death by granddaughter Brianna Jungwirth, bother Lowell, sisters Rene and Beverly and parents Carl and Lily Smith. Survived by her husband Brian, daughters Roxanne (Gregg) Jungwirth, Melissa (Gary) Johnson, Kim (Paul) Meuwissen, Danelle (Bob) McLeod, Tori (Matt) Stebbing, and son Robb (Erin) Wilcox, 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Roxie was a daily communicant and active member at St. Pius X Catholic Church in White Bear Lake. She was the number one fan at her children and grandchildren’s events. Roxie had many loves and gifts. First and foremost, God and her family whether she showed it by making them a special meal or praying and caring for each and everyone of them. She was a prayer warrior and a good and loyal friend. She was a homemaker extraordinaire and fabulous cook making homemade meals and desserts always. Everyone knew that there would be a warm welcome and a fresh pot of coffee waiting for them at Brian and Roxie’s house.
Roxie and Brian loved to travel whether it would be with their children and grandchildren or just the two of them. They have travel both throughout the United States and abroad. The highlight being when Brian was baptized a Catholic in Lourdes, France in 1997, which was an answer to her prayers of over 41 years.
Roxie and Brian enjoyed weekend car rides with cars that Brian restored himself which meant so much to her. Each summer she looked forward to Back to the Fifties and other car shows which they participated with their family. She also loved spending time outside whether it would be working in their garden or going for a long walk.
Knowing Roxie was an honor. She was a true friend and if she said she was going to pray or do something for you, she did. She was a woman of her word. She always looked for the good in everyone and every situation. She always had a kind word or smile that you knew it was going to be ok. We could not have asked for a better wife, mom or friend. She is truly someone you want to emulate as she was what we all try to strive for. She will be greatly missed by all.
We wanted to say a special “thank you” to our friends and family at Cerenity Care Center for taking such special care of Roxie during the time she spent there. Your kindness, care and prayers will not be forgotten.
