Obituary for Margaret Ann Lessin (Thompson)

Lessin
Margaret "Peggy"
Age 70
Of White Bear Lake, MN
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Peggy was born in Virginia, MN and grew up on the shores of Rainy Lake in International Fall, MN. She graduated form high school in the Falls and married soon after. Peggy is survived by her only child, Tonya "Toni" Norris of St. Mary's, GA. Peggy moved to the Twin Cities in the mid 70's after a divorce. She met John Lessin, her late husband of 42 years. John and Peggy enjoyed boating on the St. Croix River and traveling to New Orleans and various vacation destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. John and Peggy found a love for Boxer dogs. They had rescued 3 over the years. Much of Peggy's day had been consumed by current dog Daisy. Peggy could often be found extracting "the baby" from under furniture for Daisy. After retiring from Quest (30 years) as a collections agent, Peggy went to college and received her AA degree with horticulture being her primary field of study. Peggy enjoyed working in her yard and spent summer months at Linder's Greenhouse. During the long winter months in MN, you were likely to find Peggy working on ceramics in her basement. Peggy is survived by her daughter Tonya "Toni" (David) Norris of St. Mary's, GA; aunt, Marie Stockey of River Falls, WI; nephew, Michael Halenbeck of Belle Plain, MN.
Peggy touched the hearts of many family and friends, and will be forever in our hearts.
