Obituary for Ahna Kristi Vincent (Ellertson)

                                                                               Ahna Kristi Vincent (Ellertson)

                                                                                July 3, 1953-January 9, 2023

Ahna Kristi Vincent, 69, of White Bear Lake, MN passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by family on Monday, January 9, 2023.

The service to celebrate Ahna Kristi’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at North Heights Lutheran Church, 2701Rice Street, Roseville, MN with Pastor Johan Hinderlie and Pastor Dean Dunavan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Please note that the service will be livestreamed through the church’s website.

Kristi was born on July 3, 1953 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Nels and Margaret (Morken) Ellertson.  She was baptized into Christ on July 19, 1953 at University Lutheran Church, Grand Forks.  Ahna Kristi graduated from Central High School in 1971 and went on to receive an Associates Degree from the University of North Dakota.  In pursuit of a job at Augsburg College, Kristi moved to Minneapolis, MN.  On July 21, 1979 Ahna Kristi was united in marriage to Robert Vincent.

Loving Jesus was the center of Kristi’s life. Following in His footsteps, she was a good shepherd who tended and cared for her flocks with tenacity, servanthood, and care. Most recently, Kristi was an active participant in the prayer ministry All Things New and attender of three different Mom’s In Prayer groups.  Her involvement in numerous Christian ministries, churches, and Bible studies over the years meant that she built relationships that she has carried with her for a lifetime.

Known to others for her kindness, comfortable friendship, and quirky gift giving, it was her family that Kristi most fiercely shepherded. She loved each member unconditionally and woke early in the morning to cover them in prayer. It was important to Kristi to create family traditions which included trips to Cup and Cone; Medora, North Dakota; the North Shore of Lake Superior; Cotton Lake on the Fourth of July; and any place where she could see the open sky.

Ahna Kristi was preceded in death by her parents. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Bob; daughter, Rebekah Vincent Hogshead (Daniel); daughter, Molly Magstadt (Kyle); son, David Vincent (Dani); son, Peter Vincent; grandchildren, June, Elmer, Marielle, Eloise, Mae, Vaughn; sisters, Evonne Skramstad (Tim) and Sonja Swangler (Dennis); many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
