Of White Bear Lake, MN.

Passed away on October 2, 2023.  Preceded in death by husband Peter; parents Frank and Magdalena Schumacher; siblings Eva Shuh, Diane Weber, Sr. Francis, Theresa, and James.  Survived by children Stan (Luann Hoganson), Susan (Ron White) Schweitzer and Jeff (Pamela); grandchildren Matthew and Thomas Schweitzer and Madeline White; siblings Tony (Claudia) Schumacher, Marilyn (Claude) Beach, Charlotte (Sam) Majic, Sr. Johanna Schumacher, Judy Schumacher and Duane Schumacher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was a self-sufficient and proudly independent woman with deep religious faith.  Widowed at age 52, she began a new career and attended college classes up to age 64, then held part-time positions until age 74.  She was an Oblate of Assumption Abbey in North Dakota and of the St. Paul Priory, volunteering at St. Pius X church in White Bear Lake, and in recent years made thousands of rosaries for international distribution.  She maintained and lived in her own home and especially enjoyed spending quiet time at her Wisconsin cabin.  She was getting ready to work in her garden when she suffered a mild stroke in late August, then partially recovered, but eventually succumbed to complications. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3878 Highland Avenue, White Bear Lake, MN with a visitation from 10 – 11 AM. A private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will follow.  Memorials preferred to St. Pius X Church, or please consider a charitable contribution to Emotions Anonymous.
